Snagit is not a video editor, you would need something like Camtasia. Screencast is a video hosting site that doesn't have the same limitations Loom has. Snagit Is great for screen captures and recording. One of my favorite features is the ability to use Screencast. What a waste! Snagit is a powerful tool and I quickly realized it was one of my most underused tools.
Even though I had used Snagit before I was only familiar with a handful of features. It wasn't until I attended one of their free webinars that I finally learned how to use it and was able to get rid of a few subscriptions including Loom. I was familiar with Snagit but I didn't purchase a license until a few months ago. It's an alternative to Loom with additional bells and whistles that will make creating educational content easier. Comments: Snagit is a must-have tool particularly if you are creating tutorials or demos, and want to simplify the way the receiver understands or digests the information.
